Q-Ad™ is an innovative solution designed to help DTH operators and set-top box (STB) manufacturers generate revenue through non-linear advertising. It enables targeted ad delivery over one-way broadcast networks, requiring no additional memory or hardware upgrades, as it efficiently utilizes the existing RAM within set-top boxes. Since advertisement files and metadata are small, they can be processed and stored dynamically without impacting device performance. 

  

At the head-end, a Q-Ad™ server ingests and processes targeted advertisements. These ads, along with their metadata, are transmitted as a multicast signal over the designated broadcast network and seamlessly delivered to compatible set-top boxes. 

  

On the receiver side, the M-Store™ agent dynamically stores and displays ads using the set-top box’s existing RAM. Unlike static images, Q-Ad™ supports dynamic ad insertion, allowing advertisements to change in real time based on operator-defined settings, such as channel selection, time of day, or user preferences. This ensures a more engaging and relevant ad experience for viewers.
